8-Week Summer Slimdown Challenge Schedule of Events:

  • Sunday, June 27 - Challenge deadline for entry. You must register to WIN (and to transform)!
  • Sunday, June 27 - Transformation challenge check-in: 4:00 to 6:00 PM. You will:
    • Meet the Austin Adventure Boot Camp team. This highly qualified team of coaches will mentor you throughout the challenge, provide nutritional counseling, conduct body composition analysis, and offer continual motivation.
    • Have your initial body composition assessment (weight, body fat, and circumference measurements).
    • Have your individual "before" video segment and photographs taken.
    • Turn in your pre-contest essay (details).
    • Receive your transformation success kit.
  • Week 1: Monday, June 28 - Austin Adventure Boot Camp session one (of two) starts. Let your transformation begin!
  • Week 1 (and all remaining weeks): Friday, July 2 - Turn in your nutrition tracking sheets to your coach for review and feedback. Nutrition tracking sheets will be due every Friday morning to your boot camp coach. Your coach will then provide you feedback and additional guidance (via email) regarding your week's performance.
  • Week 1: Friday-Sunday, July 2-4 (and all remaining weekends) - Complete your assigned fitness homework on your days "off" from boot camp. Weekend homework includes:
    • Friday - Attend the 5:30 am or 7:45 am boot camp session in Central Austin. (Optional, but strongly encouraged)
    • Saturday - Bring your family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers to participate in the free 9:00 am class at our NW, SW, or Central camp locations. (Every weekend)
    • Saturday - 30 to 45 minutes of running/jogging/power walking [or combination]. (Optional, but recommended)
    • Sunday - 30 to 45 minutes of running/jogging/power walking [or combination]. (Every weekend)
  • During the 12-week challenge: Complete at least two (2) hours of volunteer work. Suggested local charities: Meals on Wheels, Capital Area Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity.
  • Week 2 (and all remaining even camp weeks): Thursday/Friday, July 8/9 - Bi-weekly weigh in; meet with your coach every other Thursday/Friday (starting week 2) to monitor and track your success. Weight and body fat analysis will be conducted and recorded.
  • Week 3: Sunday, July 18, 830-1030 am - Transformation success seminar 1. Plus, BONUS 1 intense 45-minute cardio session with boot camp coach and owner, Stephanie McDonald. (optional, not mandatory)
  • Week 5: Monday, July 26 - Austin Adventure Boot Camp session two (of two) starts. Let your transformation continue!
  • Week 6: Sunday, August 8, 830-1030 am- Transformation success seminar 2. Plus, BONUS 2 intense 45-minute cardio session with boot camp coach and owner, Stephanie McDonald. (optional)
  • Week 8: Saturday, August 21 - Transformation success assessment. You will:
    • Have your final body composition assessment (weight, body fat, and circumference measurements).
    • Have your individual "after" video segment and photographs taken.
    • Turn in your post-contest essay (details).
  • Monday, August 23 - Winners to be announced!
